Coaching & Team Optimization

Working with high performing teams throughout my career has given me the opportunity to learn from the best and brightest in our industry. Partly through some excellent training, partly through the hard lessons of practical experience, I have developed some foundational practices to help teams and individuals perform at their best. Some of these practices, such as Situational Leadership TM are well established. Others are based on helping individuals develop self-awareness and emotional intelligence.

 

My approach is always tailored to the needs of the specific team and team members. I will seek to align our objectives with the stated Values and Cultural Norms of the business. I will also seek to gain insight into the unspoken ways of working that also can impact day to day productivity and team cohesiveness.

 

Once the objectives and scope of work have been agreed upon and an action plan has been approved, I’ll begin by listening and observing. Often an outsider can pick up on the subtle interactions and non-verbal ques that underlie larger issues. I will seek to be maintain impartiality and focus on what is best for the team and individuals, regardless of my personal biases and opinions.

 

Work will be done individually and in teams, which may at times not include the senior leaders. This is done to encourage authentic communication in a risk-free environment. Feedback and recommendations will be strongly oriented toward personal reflection followed up by action, in the form of establishing new practices to engrain the new behaviors.

 

I am very pleased to offer services specifically designed to address the modern remote and hybrid workplace. Remote work is here to stay and regardless of whether your company has adopted remote work formally, there will come a time when you will engage with other companies that have adopted the remote work model. I will help your team develop a set of common practices and expectations to enable crisp communication and collaboration with reduced misunderstandings. The key deliverable will be a set of toolkits that will  align your current team as well as help with onboarding new staff who may be entering a remote job for the first time.
